Scouts
We meet in Adare village hall at 7:30pm until 9p.m. on Tuesday nights. We participate in various activities around the country and the world. We have travelled to places such as Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Slovakia and Germany. We usually go abroad every 2 years for an adventure holiday.
Scouting encourages the development of Young People and Improvement of society through Fun, Friendship, Adventure and Challenge
Scouts join Scouting to be part of a network of young people committed to make a difference in their local, national and international communities.
Scounts are offered a wide range of activities which challenge them and help them to engage fully in civil society
Scouts take increasing responsibility for the planning and delivery of their own programme and they work in small groups called patrols
The programme for scouts offers opportunities for young people to prepare their life-plan and develop life-skills.
Scouts are coached and assisted in developing their skills to participate in decision-making and encouraged to use these skills.
Scouts are supported and guided by adult volunteers on their journey of self-education.
